Can I send “START” and “STOP” signals from a PLC while retrieving resistance values via RS232C on TOS7200?

Yes, it is possible, but with a specific procedure:

• To retrieve resistance values, send the “RDATA?” command via RS232C.
• When TOS7200 receives this command, it will switch to the remote mode and will no longer accept the “START” signal from the SIGNAL I/O connector.
• After retrieving the resistance value, send the “LOC” command to return TOS7200 to the local mode so that TOS7200 can accept the “START” signal from the SIGNAL I/O connector again.
