ISO 7637-2 standard specifies test methods and procedures to ensure the compatibility to conducted electrical transients of equipment installed in automobiles. With the increasing number of electronic control units (ECUs) and growing amount of wire harnessing, evaluation of electromagnetic compatibility is more important than ever to ensure ECUs don’t affect one another.

However, the standard is currently under review and will likely be updated soon. Some items could change significantly. We’ll go over everything you need to know about the proposed changes and introduce Kikusui’s ISO 7637 related solutions.
